Marsha Cox
I’m an experienced charity consultant and leadership coach, helping charities strengthen their fundraising, develop confident leaders and build effective trustee boards.
I bring a warm, practical approach, drawing on extensive experience in senior management roles across the private and charity sectors, alongside running my own businesses. These include independent record store Phoenix Sounds, giving me first-hand experience of the challenges, decisions and rewards that come with owning a small business.
Since founding MMC in 2014, I’ve supported hundreds of charities through trust and foundation fundraising, trustee development and executive coaching. I work closely with charity leaders and trustees, providing space to reflect, navigate challenges and move forward with confidence.
In essence, I support charity leaders and organisations to strengthen leadership, support staff wellbeing and secure sustainable funding.
What I Do
Trust Fundraising Service
Experienced fundraising support, without having to do it all yourself.
Who is this for? Charity CEOs and leaders who want to develop their trusts and foundations income but need additional expertise or capacity to move things forward.
You may already have a trust fundraising programme that needs attention, or be ready to develop a more planned and consistent approach.
What You Gain?
- Experienced support: drawing on successful applications to funders including the National Lottery, Garfield Weston, BBC Children in Need and local trusts.
- A clearer case for support: helping funders understand your work, why it matters and the difference their funding could make.
- Well-researched, targeted applications: focusing your time and resources on suitable opportunities.
- Stronger funder relationships: supporting thoughtful approaches, clear reporting and ongoing communication.
- A manageable funding pipeline: keeping track of opportunities, applications and next steps.
How will we work together?
I work directly with you to understand your charity, agree priorities and develop a practical fundraising plan.
Depending on what you need, I can research funders, prepare applications, help develop project plans and budgets, and support your reporting to funders. Regular meetings and progress updates keep you involved and informed.
My approach
You can expect honest advice, practical help and a supportive working relationship. I take time to understand your charity so that applications reflect your work, your values and the people you support.
Leadership Coaching
I work supporting courageous leaders to navigate extreme pressure and lead with steadiness and compassion. I offer a safe place where charity leaders can reflect honestly, make sound decisions and rediscover their strength and joy of their roles, without having to carry everything alone. My clients tell me that my Coaching helps them build confidence and become more effective leaders.
Trustee Induction and Development Facilitation
Through a blend of training, facilitation and coaching, I support trustees and senior leadership teams to build confident, high-performing boards that add real strategic value. My sessions go beyond compliance. I create space for honest reflection, shared learning and practical development—helping trustees not only understand what good governance looks like, but how to live it in practice.
Workplace Wellbeing Workshops
This workshop is designed for staff and volunteers working in emotionally demanding roles, who may experience emotional exhaustion, compassion fatigue or vicarious trauma.
