Across Wales, fundraisers are making extraordinary things happen every day. Whether you're the only fundraiser in your organisation, part of a small team, or working for a larger charity, you understand how to make every conversation, every relationship, and every pound count. Creativity, resilience and collaboration have always been hallmarks of fundraising in Wales, and they're more important than ever.The 2026 Cymru Conference celebrates the ingenuity of the fundraising community based here. It's a day dedicated to sharing practical ideas, fresh thinking and proven approaches that can help you achieve more, whatever the size of your charity or budget.

Expect inspiring keynote speakers, practical workshops and honest conversations covering the issues that matter most to fundraisers across Wales. Sessions will showcase innovative fundraising, supporter engagement, leadership, digital tools, partnerships and professional development, with a strong emphasis on ideas that can be adapted and put into practice immediately.

This is also a conference designed to do what we do best – to learn from one another. Alongside our speaker programme, we'll be creating space for delegates to shape the conversation themselves through an interactive Unconference session. You'll help set the agenda by bringing the real challenges, opportunities and questions you're facing, before joining facilitated peer discussions to exchange ideas, solutions and experiences with fellow fundraisers. No prepared presentations – just honest and open conversations about real fundraising.

Whether you're looking for practical solutions, fresh inspiration or simply the chance to connect with colleagues who understand the unique opportunities and challenges of fundraising in Wales, you'll leave with new ideas, new connections and renewed confidence.

Bursary

There are seven bursaries available for Wales/Cymru Conference 2026.

The Caryl Angharad Lee-Jones Learning Bursary

We feel honoured to offer four successful bursary applicants an opportunity to enjoy a complimentary place at this year’s conference, in memory of our friend and colleague Caryl Angharad Lee-Jones.

Caryl was a brilliant marketer, creative thinker and passionate advocate for the causes and organisations she worked for. Through her work with us at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and Remember A Charity, she helped charities tell their stories, reach new audiences, and inspire support for causes that change lives. She was fiercely proud of Wales and the Welsh language and cared deeply about her community.

The Learning Bursary in Caryl’s name is aimed at supporting greater access to learning and professional development for fundraisers.

CIOF Cymru Fundraising Committee Bursary

An additional three applicants will be granted a bursary courtesy of the volunteer-led CIOF Cymru Fundraising Committee who are hosting the conference.  These bursaries help to reduce barriers to participation and are an investment in the development of the Welsh fundraising community.

Bursaries do not include travel expenses. The deadline for all bursary applications is Wednesday 30th September at 5pm.

Small Charity Definition

 A small charity is a charity with an annual income of less than £1 million.
