As a line manager you will be considering how you can best manage and lead your team members during this time, as well as deliver what is needed for your organisation.

Standard Content

From extra stressors at home, illness, increased workloads, rapidly changing environment, staff shortages due to annual leave, sickness and loss, managing change and in many cases home or hybrid working – to name but a few of the factors that will be impacting staff.

In addition, you may be in separate locations and cannot rely upon the usual ways of communicating, making decisions, and working together. The shift to hybrid and remote working requires a new approach to leadership and management.

This course is designed for experienced and new line managers who are seeking to enhance their skills even further. The course will give you tools and techniques for supporting your team - whether remote, hybrid or in-person - and delivering results for your organisation. It will be practical and interactive.

Here are some of the key questions this course will help you find answers to:
  • What is my preferred leadership style?
  • What I am like when I’m at my best (and worst)? What is the shadow I cast?
  • How authentic is my leadership style? How responsive am I to different team members’ needs?
  • What beliefs may be holding me back?
  • What are my strengths, and how do these fit with my team’s strengths?
  • What climate do I want to create?
  • How can I bring out the best in team members?
  • How can I have effective conversations that ensure delivery?
  • I can help team members remain productive and motivated?
  • How do I do all of the above when I’m unable to bring my team together in a room.
What's covered in this course:
  • How to strengthen team trust and cohesiveness, even when apart
  • Case studies from non-profit sector leaders on managing staff remotely
  • How to have difficult conversations and manage under performance
  • How to boost your team’s resilience and wellbeing to support them through these difficult times
  • How to keep productivity high and deliver what is needed
  • How to have difficult conversations and manage under performance
