This online on-demand masterclass is exclusively available for anyone who's organisation holds an Organisational Membership with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.

This introductory, conversational style masterclass has been designed to support fundraising professionals at all levels and teams, working directly or indirectly with those in Vulnerable Circumstances so that they can work effectively, ethically and with care. 

Masterclass structure

This masterclass involves 3 x 30-50 minute videos.

 

Module 1: Introduction to vulnerability

This module includes:  

  • Introduction to fundraising with people in Vulnerable Circumstances 

  • The basics of What and Who might be Vulnerable 

  • How to plan and respond effectively to incidents involving people in Vulnerable Circumstances 

Learning outcomes: 

  • Understand the basic types of Vulnerability 

  • Be able to assess and understand the basic areas where work supports people in Vulnerable Circumstances 

Module 2: Wellbeing

This modules includes:  

  • A basic introduction to Wellbeing 

  • Tools for supporting good wellbeing 

Learning outcomes: 

  • Understand the basic tools for supporting Wellbeing 

  • Understanding possible types of support for assessing and managing wellbeing  

Module 3: Information types

This module includes:  

  • A basic introduction to Information Types (direct and indirect)  

  • A basic introduction to issues of Indirect Information when working with Vulnerable Circumstances 

Learning outcomes: 

  • Explain the basic types of information 

  • Detail some considerations around information types 

About your trainer

Matt is an international specialist working in Vulnerability Management. He is CEO of Vulnerable Paths, an organisation works extensively with Charities to develop ways of working which empower, support and protect staff, donors and members of the public. 

This is supported by over 20 years experience working with charities, with 10 of those being in Fundraising and Vulnerability Management.
