Scotland has a thriving fundraising membership community and network of volunteers whose passion, dedication and expertise is fundamental to the work we do.
Our staff and volunteer committee members work to support, train and connect fundraisers across the country and to help shape the future of fundraising in Scotland.
The Chartered Institute of Fundraising Scotland plays a key part in supporting our professional membership:
- Best Practice – we set high standards for the fundraising profession, working in partnership with regulators and representative bodies in the charitable and fundraising sectors in Scotland and across the UK.
- Professional Development – we promote fundraising as a career choice and provide accredited training for fundraisers (members and non-members) at all levels, supporting and inspiring fundraisers at every stage of their career
See forthcoming training courses
- Networking Events – our community of volunteers run a variety of networking events, providing informal opportunities to meet other fundraisers, share knowledge and skills and provide peer support.
- Policy & Public Affairs – we act as an interface with the public, media and sector stakeholders, providing guidance and information, developing policy in the voluntary sector arena and reacting swiftly to issues affecting the fundraising environment in Scotland.
- Scottish Fundraising Conference – Scotland’s largest annual fundraising conference provides the opportunity to share and learn from the wealth of fundraising knowledge available, build relationships and celebrate the very best of fundraising at the annual awards ceremony.
- Scottish Fundraising Awards - The awards recognise and reward excellence in fundraising and celebrate the achievements of those who are building and leading charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises. The awards will be presented during a gala dinner at Scottish Fundraising Conference. Read about the 2024 winners.
