It's time to take the next step in our flagship research project Philanthropy 2035. We are hosting a series of member-only workshops where charities of all sizes can learn more about the opportunities to grow their major giving programmes, and put forward their ideas on how to strengthen and enhance philanthropy in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
We are working with members to answer two very important questions: What do charities want philanthropy to look like in 10 years? And how can government, charities and other stakeholders work together to make it happen?
Following initial scoping calls with members, we are bringing our charities of all sizes together to share ideas and find new and creative ways to grow philanthropy over the next decade. These will then be used to influence sector-wide conversations about philanthropy, including government policy, national strategies and lobbying activities.
Building on the findings and actions outlined in the first part of the project The state of UK philanthropy, the workshops will focus on three key themes:
1. Growing philanthropy over the next ten years – 21st January 2pm-3.30pm - Register here
We will aim to answer the following questions:
- Who are the future philanthropists?
- How do we start and prepare to engage with them?
- How do we cultivate a culture that celebrates philanthropy and encourages more high-net-worth individuals to give?
2. Making philanthropy more impactful – 4th February 2pm-3.30pm - Register here
