A special award for an outstanding individual who is in the early stages of their career in the fundraising or data space. This person may be highly professional, an inspiration to others, committed to getting things done, an excellent communicator, or simply an exceptional team player. This person will clearly demonstrate a passion/curiosity for insight.

Criteria - We are looking for excellence in learning, development, and collaboration with wider teams, alongside evidence of performing beyond expectations. You should be able to share examples of where you have achieved significant results, overcome challenges, or worked closely with others to deliver outstanding outcomes. This category is specifically for individuals who have entered the fundraising sector within the last two years. It is designed to recognise fresh talent making a strong early impact.

Applications for the Insight in Fundraising awards will be accessed by the judging panel which is made up of members of the Insight in Fundraising committee members and third parties invited by the Chartered Institute Insight in Fundraising committee. 

The judging panel will use the information you provide to process your application and come to agreement about the outcome. 

Information from your application will also be used during the event and post event for promotional purposes and may appear on our website and social media posts. 

Application forms will be kept until October 14 2026 after which they will be securely destroyed.

Why should this person win? Please provide a summary of what sets them apart from the rest of the field. (200 words max)
Describe the role that the individual performs for its fundraising organisation. What are the challenges faced by the organisation have they been involved in, and what kind of goals have they set out to achieve? (200 words max)
What is special or unique about the way in which the individual works? How have they supported the organisation and what issues have they faced and how did they overcome them? Give examples where relevant. (300 words max)
Please provide evidence of the individual working well with colleagues and other stakeholders. We are looking for evidence of clear objectives, strong development and collaboration both within the team and with other colleagues. We are particularly looking to see where an individual has made a real impact on their fundraising organisation beyond expectations. (300 words max)
Please provide a short summary of your overall entry - this summary may be published in awards emails, the CIof website or other marketing materials if your entry is successful (100 words max)
