Our group is for individuals engaged in analysing data for fundraising purposes, and for those who wish to use the outputs of this analysis to enhance their fundraising programmes. The analysis of donor behaviour is a critical aspect of fundraising and whilst it is becoming more and more visible we feel there is a long way to go to promote the use of ‘analysis’ and raise the profile of the impact ‘data strategy’ can have on fundraising performance.
We exist to provide a forum in which analysts and practitioners can meet and share experiences, explore new thinking and techniques, and provide education and skills training to data ‘users’ across the sector.
We're a practical group, open to all, and we emphasise mutual trust and are focused on the bottom-line. The objectives of the group are:
- To build awareness of analysis and analysts and to create understanding of the importance of analysis (and therefore analysts) and the impact that it (and they) can have
- To further the development of individuals who analyse and interpret data for a living in order to improve insight and understanding of donor and supporter behaviour
- Create opportunities for people to meet, as a group, and discuss, share, network and learn from each other
