Looking for a different way to volunteer with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising?
Many volunteering opportunities with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising involve joining one of our National, Regional or Special Interest Group committees. These roles are an important part of our volunteer network, but we know that committee volunteering is not the right fit for everyone.
Our Project Support Volunteer opportunities offer a different way to get involved. These flexible, project-based roles enable volunteers to contribute their skills, experience and ideas to specific areas of work, supporting CIOF staff teams on focused projects and initiatives that help strengthen fundraising across the UK.
These opportunities may appeal to fundraisers who want to broaden their experience, explore a new area of interest, build their professional network, or make a meaningful contribution to the sector without taking on a formal committee position. They may also suit people who enjoy practical project work, research, communications, stakeholder engagement or providing insight and feedback to help shape future activity.
Before applying, ask yourself:
- Am I interested in the subject area and motivated by the project's aims?
- Can I commit time consistently throughout the assignment?
- Do I enjoy collaborating with others while working towards clear outcomes?
- Am I comfortable sharing ideas, feedback and recommendations constructively?
- Will this opportunity help me develop skills, knowledge or experience that are important to me?
If the answer is yes, we would love to hear from you.
