For the first time, the Chartered Institute of Fundraising is able to offer specialised and bespoke training and immersions for trustees and executive teams of fundraising organisations.

Leading a Great Fundraising Organisation (4 hours)

This is an education session covering the following topics: 

  • Presentation of academic and action research into successful organisations. 

  • The role of the trustees and the SLT in creating the environment for fundraising growth. 

  • Key decisions required to kick-start growth, and why these cannot be delegated. 

  • Planning and overseeing investment. 

  • Fundraising communications that work. 

  • Developing a focussed and energised culture. 

Designing a Great Fundraising Organisation (7 hours)

The same content as the Leading module, plus: 

  • Recruiting, retaining and motivating a fundraising team. 

  • Becoming the best at meeting donor needs – a key success criterion. 

  • Gaining market differentiation and advantage. 

  • A self-audit and top-line action plan.

Accelerating a Great Fundraising Organisation (14 hours)

This is the full-blown kick-start event. Day one will be a tailored version of the behaviours programme and day two will include: 

Co-creation sessions on: 

  • Internal cultures and conflicts. 

  • Fundraising proposition. 

  • Strategy and investment. 

  • Capacity building. 

  • Audit of further requirements for growth. 

  • Key decisions on the way forward, with timelines and milestones. 

  • A strong dose of team building and unity of purpose.
