Our role at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising is clear.
Without fundraisers and fundraising, the charity sector would struggle to survive.
We need to champion and support fundraisers now more than ever.
As a charity, we are proud to represent and champion the work of our more than 5,000 members.
As part of our commitment to ensuring we continue to provide the fundraising community with the best possible support, we have reviewed our individual and organisational membership prices and structure.
From 1st June, we are introducing a below inflationary increase in individual membership fees. This is the first price change since 2019.
Membership will be now the equivalent of £8.99 per month. This is the equivalent increase of 49p a month for the majority of our current members.
Prices in some cases will remain the same or lower. Fee by card or BACS for new members will stay the same at £117. We are also removing the new joiner fee, making it more affordable for new fundraisers to join.
As part of these changes, we are moving to one membership grade - moving from our current ‘Associate’ and ‘Full’ membership. Fundraisers who complete five years of fundraising experience will be now able to receive their post nominals MCIOF as part of this membership.
We have also maintained the price difference for those current members who have an Associate membership.
On 1 May we introduced a below inflationary 5% increase in current organisational membership fees.
This increase ensures that as a charity we can continue to provide the very best value to our members, creating a better environment for fundraisers to excel.
Our voluntary income bands have also changed as we introduced additional new bands for charities with less than £5 million voluntary income. This positive change will ensure that there are more affordable joining prices for smaller charities.
This latest revised change to our bands comes after we introduced a complimentary rate for all charities with a voluntary income of £50,000 or less.
As always, we are committed to providing value to you and appreciate your continued support.
