Feedback received from our members continues to indicate a high level of interest in a structured mentoring scheme as a means of development. As a result, we are providing members from across the region with an opportunity to obtain experienced support with fundraising and management issues from trained mentors. This highly rated programme will offer participants a one-to-one mentoring relationship with skilled and highly experienced fundraisers.
The programme will accommodate 18 mentoring relationships and will take place over the next 18 months, starting in November 2024 and culminating in a presentation ceremony in June 2026. As part of the Mentoring Programme, Mentees will also be able to avail of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising's, ‘Introduction to Fundraising’ course.
The programme is open to both members and non-members. We welcome participants from a broad spectrum of roles and organisations, from sole fundraisers who work in smaller charities to those in organisations with larger dedicated fundraising teams.
We will be partnering once again with Advance Coach Ltd, a specialist coaching and mentoring organisation, to deliver this programme. Niamh Shiells and Debbie Cousins from Advance have considerable experience of supporting a wide range of successful mentoring programmes both locally and nationally.
