The 2025 Yorkshire Fundraising Conference will take place at Leeds Marriott on 12 February.
We are now actively looking for speakers for the event, so if you’ve got something interesting to share with the sector and would like to speak at the Fundraising conference, then we want to hear from you!
Your experience, research and ideas can help influence fundraising and fundraisers across Yorkshire and the conference provides the perfect platform for sharing your expertise.
All sessions will be 1 hour in duration, with an additional 15 minutes for seating and introductions, so please bear this in mind when considering your session. There will be no set formats for sessions. We are open to any ideas you have, and your content will influence the shape of things, so please feel free to be as creative as possible with your session proposal.
We welcome speakers of all experience levels and are committed to supporting new speakers. If it’s your first time presenting, we will offer guidance and can even pair you with a committee member or another experienced speaker.
Applications to speak at the Yorkshire Conference 2025 are to be completed via the form below.
Your submission should focus on the following:
- What is your session idea?
- Who is it for?
- What will they get from it?
And the tracks this year will be:
- Income Generation and Support
- Strategy, Leadership, and Innovation
- Personal Development and Wellbeing
Applications will be scored anonymously by the Yorkshire committee, following this criteria:
- This session provides fundraisers with actionable support for personal or professional development (e.g., tools, skills, or strategies they can immediately apply).
- This session shares learning, insights, or research that will help fundraisers improve their work in practical and measurable ways.
- This session addresses long-term trends and changes in the sector, helping fundraisers stay relevant and adapt to evolving challenges (e.g., technology, regulations, social trends).
- This session advocates for and demonstrates a commitment to creating a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive fundraising community, both in content and approach.
- This session provides opportunities for audience engagement and interaction (e.g., Q&A, activities, breakout discussions), fostering active participation.
- The session introduces innovative or novel ideas that represent new approaches, perspectives, or methodologies in the fundraising space.
For Tracks 1 and 2, we encourage consultancy firms to present alongside a charity to score more highly on points 1 and 2 above, which focus on providing actionable support and improving work in practical and measurable ways. We find that other charities can better relate to and benefit from knowledge when it is shared through real-life examples from other charities or fundraisers.
Accessibility is a core principle of our event delivery and we want to make the Yorkshire Conference as inclusive as possible, including the process to apply to become a speaker. If you have any accessibility requirements and you would like an alternative method of submitting your application, please do contact the team to discuss.
Best of luck to everyone!
