Chris Davis is Prospect Research Manager at Birkbeck, University of London, where he is the sole prospect researcher in a team delivering the University’s £50 million The World Needs More Birkbeck campaign. He has previously held prospect research roles at the London School of Economics, London Business School, and the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich. He is also a CASE Graduate Trainee (2010-11 cohort).
Dr Martyn Colebrook is Prospect Research Manager for Cancer Research UK. He joined in 2019 and has responsibility for the operational management of the Major Philanthropy Prospect Research function. In 2018 Martyn founded the Prospect Research and Data Forum: an information exchange event for fundraisers. His interest in fundraising was piqued following a temporary role as a Research Assistant in the University of Hull's Development and Alumni Relations Department.
Rachel is Partnerships Research Manager at Cancer Research UK and began this role in 2023. Previously, Rachel worked in prospect development at Alzheimer's Society. She has worked in fundraising for 7 years in community fundraising and supporter engagement roles, before moving into prospect research.
Dominic is Prospect Research Officer at King’s College London. He has experience working on a range of capital campaigns, alumni activities and donor relations research having previously worked at The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, Natural History Museum and Cardiff Metropolitan University. Prior to working in fundraising, he was a music teacher and a credit analyst for a financial institution.
Jordan has been the Prospect Researcher at Mind since October 2021, having joined from the MS Society where he was also a Prospect Researcher. His first taste of prospect research was during an internship at the British Red Cross in Worcester, where he did research into local trusts while a Community Fundraising Intern. After joining Save the Children as a Community Fundraising Assistant in 2017 and researching local businesses, he became a Prospect Development Officer in February 2019.
Efe is Prospect Research Manager at Moorfields Eye Charity where she works across Major Gifts, Trusts and Foundations, and Corporate Relations. Prior to this, she worked in prospect development for Florida International University in Miami and in commercial due diligence services for the institutional investment community.
Heather is Development Services Manager at Cheltenham Ladies' College (CLC). Previously she has worked as an all rounder Development Professional and Consultant both in the UK and Seattle, WA USA. At CLC she has implemented and manages a fully functional pipeline management system and completes extensive worldwide prospect research for both individuals and corporates.
Lubna is Head of Development at The Scar Free Foundation. Before this, she enjoyed fundraising and science communication roles with the Royal Institution, Organic Research Centre, Coram Life Education and Parkinson’s UK. Lubna loves science and is passionate about building meaningful, lifelong relationships with supporters. She has a PhD in Genetics and a Diploma in Fundraising from the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
Helena is a Prospect Research Assistant at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Starting this role in December 2022, she is new to the world of prospect research. She recently completed a Masters in Media, Communications and International Journalism at the University of Glasgow and worked as a student caller during a telethon campaign, where she was first introduced to higher education fundraising.
Nick is Philanthropy & Partnerships Exec at BBC Media Action where he leads on all prospect development. He has previously worked in corporate giving for Crisis’s Christmas team and has a background in Supporter Care – working at ActionAid UK for six years.
