CEO of Alder Hey Children’s Charity. Fiona joined the Chartered Institute of Fundraising North West Committee in 2013, becoming Chair in 2018 and is passionate about supporting fundraisers and the fundraising sector and promoting best practice across the region. Prior to becoming a CEO Fiona has worked in a wide range of different fundraising roles, including Director of Fundraising at Henshaws Society for Blind People, Senior Fundraising Manager at the Christie NHS Foundation Trust, and Head of Community & Corporate Fundraising for The Big Issue Foundation. Fiona has a Masters in Voluntary Sector Management and Diploma in Fundraising Management.
Head of Income Generation and Marketing at Springhill Hospice. Emily has worked in the charity sector since 2008 and worked across various income streams. She has been at Springhill Hospice since 2017 and is responsible for all aspects of income generation (fundraising, lottery and retail) and marketing. Emily joined the Chartered Institute’s North West committee as Treasurer in 2019.
Having begun her career in modern languages and retail, followed by time in hospitality, Sarah’s charity journey began with a three month internship at Mines Advisory Group in Manchester. She has since worked with local and national charities including The North West Air Ambulance, Kidney Research UK, PDSA, and Hope House Children’s Hospices, followed by a consultancy role at St Ann’s Hospice. She is now the Fundraising and Relationship Manager (Sole Fundraiser) at Adoption Matters, a children’s charity and voluntary adoption agency covering the whole of the North of England.
