bibic is a UK charity based in Somerset. We offer holistic therapy to children and young adults, with neurological, behavioural and developmental challenges, enabling them to understand themselves and the world around them. We champion their perspective, helping others to see it too. Together we transform families’ lives so they can thrive.

Why we joined the Chartered Institute of Fundraising

We also want our fundraising team to thrive, which is why our membership of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising is important. Through our membership, we connect with other charities across the UK, and it gives us valuable insight in an ever-changing world.

The resources and information that we get as members, helps to keep us updated on best practice, as well as the latest advice and guidance around fundraising practice and regulation.

Training from the Chartered Institute supports our team and bibic's goals

We also really value the training offered by the Chartered Institute, which is excellent. Several staff members have attended courses from the Chartered Institute, going on to speak very highly about the quality of the training both in terms of learning and delivery.

Our fundraisers have completed numerous courses including Legacy courses, understanding the giving of mid-level donors, grants writing and also corporate fundraising. As the CEO of bibic, I am more than happy for the team to choose training from the Chartered Institute because I know it will be high quality and good value for money.

I completed the legacy training which was excellent. I learnt a lot and found it to be well-pitched and delivered by a great personality who kept the engagement levels up, which is hard on online training.

Membership helps to shape future fundraising leaders

To someone thinking of joining, or having their organisation join, I’d say - do it. It’s a great way to develop a team, especially if they have less experience in fundraising, and to build confidence in staff who will be the future fundraising leaders!
