Vacancies on the Scottish Fundraising Conference and Awards committee

Each year a passionate group of career fundraisers come together to plan the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Scotland’s Scottish Fundraising Conference and Awards. We are actively looking for a number of new, committed volunteer team members who are keen to bring fresh ideas and energy to this committee in preparation for the events.

You will be joining an existing committee who have experience of delivering hugely successful conferences over a number of years. The Scottish Fundraising Conference is the flagship event for fundraisers in Scotland and includes an Awards event where excellence in fundraising throughout Scotland is recognised and celebrated.

This creates a unique opportunity to bring a vibrant community of fundraisers in Scotland together to learn, network and celebrate excellence.

We passionately believe that the development of an equal, diverse and inclusive fundraising community is integral to delivering excellent fundraising. To help us achieve this we need people with all types of skills and from all kinds of backgrounds. It's important to us that our staff and volunteers bring their skills and knowledge regardless of age, being married or in a civil partnership, being pregnant, on maternity leave, disability, race including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religious belief, gender, or sexual orientation.

• The Chartered Institute's Volunteering Manager will get in touch to arrange a follow up conversation.

• The Volunteering Manager will endeavour to let applicants know if they are invited to interview within two weeks of applying.

• If successful, candidates will take part in a full induction and onboarding process with both the central Chartered Institute volunteering team, and the Conference committee. Candidates will be given training on areas specific to their roles, and will be asked to sign a volunteering agreement, including a reminder of our code of conduct.

To volunteer with us:

• You must be at least 18 years of age.
• You will agree to be an Individual Member of the Chartered Institute
• You will read and follow the Chartered Institute’s policies and guidelines.
• You will be able to regularly volunteer with us - the amount of time required will vary by role. In the case of an Officer role, such as Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer or Secretary, this will be for a minimum of one to a maximum of three years.

The information you submit will be accessed by staff and representatives of the conference committee to enable the recruitment process. Forms will be kept until all applicants have been notified of the outcome of their application and will be deleted no later than 1 calendar month after this date.
