I’m passionate about supporting and building the skills of fundraisers in Yorkshire, which led me to join the committee. Currently, as Philanthropy Manager at The University of Sheffield, I work closely with inspiring Trusts and Foundations that fund a wide range of university projects. Previously, I've managed Trusts and Statutory funding for high-profile initiatives such as LEEDS 2023 Year of Culture, Hibiscus Rising, and The Prince William Award. Additionally, I volunteer as a Trustee for a local grant-making foundation and have previously held a trustee role with Wakefield Community Foundation.
I joined the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Yorkshire committee a few years ago out of a strong passion for supporting Yorkshire fundraisers. As one of the Founding Directors of Charity Horizons, a specialist Charity and NFP recruitment agency, I've had the privilege of supporting fundraisers in Yorkshire for over a decade. I love my job and my role on the committee. As a proud committee member, I work with a fantastic team to ensure Yorkshire fundraisers are represented nationally and have access to excellent training, events, and networking opportunities.
In 2020, I joined the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Chilterns committee, and the experience provided me with a robust network during the challenges of Covid. I am currently the Head of Trusts and Foundations for Cancer Support UK, and I consider myself fortunate to enjoy my work every day. Serving as the Treasurer for the Yorkshire committee, I embrace the challenges of fundraising and appreciate the network it provides.
Having worked in the sector for about 10 years now and at Heart Research UK for over 8 years (albeit evolving my role through various different income streams), I truly believe that the best way to succeed is through collaboration. As professional fundraisers we’re generally a pretty good bunch of people and by sharing knowledge and expertise we can help each other to grow, achieve more and ultimately raise more for our organisations.
Working remotely from Yorkshire as the Head of Development at Scottish Mountain Rescue, I am the first and sole fundraiser for the organization. My responsibilities include leading and implementing the first fundraising strategy for this membership body, which represents most of Scotland's mountain rescue teams. Previously, I held Fundraising Manager roles for Crisis UK, Camphill Blair Drummond, and Macmillan Cancer Support.

I have worked within the charity sector since 2017, previously specialising in Events Management and working in hospice and hospital charities. I'm now at St Luke's Hospice in Sheffield as Community Fundraising Manager.
I'm passionate about collaboration between organisations and fundraisers to help us to grow, learn and develop. I’m really excited to join the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Yorkshire committee to meet new people, especially from different charity backgrounds.
I’m delighted to have just joined the Yorkshire Chartered Institute of Fundraising Committee in Jan 2024. It’s so refreshing to see past Fundraising colleagues on the committee but also lovely to meet new ones! I have over 20 years fundraising experience, predominately in Community for CRUK, Barnardo’s, Marie Curie and now as a Corporate Partnership Manager for CHSF. I’m looking forward to being able to share my skills and experience whilst also learning from some of the best Fundraisers in Yorkshire.
I'm thrilled to be part of the Yorkshire Chartered Institute of Fundraising committee. With over 20 years in fundraising and communications at both national and local levels, I'm deeply passionate about income generation in the third sector. I believe in putting volunteers and supporters at the heart of everything we do, building strong relationships, and drawing inspiration from their dedication to our causes. I love being a career fundraiser and thrive from networking and meeting other fundraisers from across our wonderful sector.
I have worked at the Yorkshire Air Ambulance since 2009, starting as a Community Fundraiser then various other roles and now serving as the Director of Public Fundraising, overseeing Community Fundraising, Individual Giving and Events. As part of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising in Yorkshire, leading on virtual events and co leading on mentoring, I look forward to continuing to grow our presence across the region making the Chartered Institute and all its benefits far more accessible to our fabulous fundraisers in Yorkshire.
I joined the Yorkshire Committee in January 2024 as I was keen to play a small part in helping to bring the wonderful fundraisers of Yorkshire together to encourage greater collaboration. There is such amazing knowledge within Yorkshire and we can do so much more when we share our highlights, challenges and opportunities.
I have worked in charities for over 18 years including Cancer Research UK, Barnardo’s and St Gemma’s Hospice. I am currently Head of Individual Giving for Leeds Hospitals Charity. I have experience in community, in memory, legacies, lottery, regular giving, appeals and Supporter Care. My passion is storytelling and improving the supporter experience.
I’m looking forward to getting to speak to even more wonderful charity fundraisers as part of my role on the committee.
