Bronwyn has worked in the third sector for over 18 years from social firms, managing charity retail, leading fundraising teams and being a CEO. She has now moved to a Third Sector Interface.
A proud fundraiser, busy mother and carer, Bronwyn’s favourite down time activities are catching up with friends and family over quality veggie food or being outdoors with her sighthounds.
Bronwyn isn’t particularly fond of early mornings and is very much pro hibernation!
Bronwyn is also the Chair of Chairs for Scotland, supporting the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and Chairing across the Scottish committees.
Jodie has been working in community fundraising and volunteering for around ten years. She hates when it is quiet and will find ways to keep busy when there is extra time whether it’s volunteering, going to live music or planning some mad charity challenge to take on. An example of her participation includes abseiling dressed as an Easter bunny and doing treks abroad. If you want to get her chatting, talk all things animals especially her house rabbits who cheer her up whenever there are more stressful days.
Mairead has been in fundraising for 9 years. She came into the sector through Volunteering and then realised fundraising was a job! She has previously worked in a variety of Community Fundraising and Events roles and is currently the Regional Relationships Manager for Scotland at Blood Cancer UK.
Lauran has been working within the third sector for around 5 years, starting out in administration before working her way to becoming an events fundraiser at Alzheimer Scotland. Previously working in sales, she realised in her first administrative role in a charity that there is a lot of crossover with fundraising and sales and set her sights on a fundraising role, using her skills for a good cause. She enjoys working for a Scottish charity, travelling, and reading in her spare time.
Ashley has worked in the charity sector for four years. Her charity career started in supporter care where she developed a love for community events and engaging with people. She has now moved over to a main focus in corporate fundraising where she can bring the skills that she has developed in previous years as a conference organiser.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her young children and escaping when she can to do a yoga class!
Andy has been working in the Third Sector for 22 years now, starting as a trainee youth worker to developing bespoke educational programmes to engage with schools, young people and communities to organising fundraising events with over 4000 children attending with a team of 80+ volunteers. He is currently the Schools & Communities Development Co-ordinator at St Andrew's Hospice.
He enjoys spending time with his family and dog, watching Glasgow and Scotland Rugby teams and occasionally climbing a hill or two.
Kali is new to the fundraising sector and has become a community and events fundraiser. She started out in the third sector as a community support worker and upon moving to Scotland became a dementia care practitioner. After spending some time working in academia as a research assistant, she moved into fundraising as a way of combining the research skills she developed with her love for social care and engaging with people and communities.
Outside of work, she enjoys going to rugby games and is a new dog mom so spends a lot of her time as activity co-ordinator for her wee sausage dog.
