Sophie has well over 20 years' experience leading and delivering events fundraising programmes at major charity brands including Macmillan, Marie Curie, Centrepoint, and Cancer Research UK. Now working as a freelance public fundraising consultant, she is principle consultant at Raising Agents where she works with charities across the UK to make their fundraising as awesome as it can be.
James is an experienced charity leader, having worked in various regional and national charities, including Walking With The Wounded, Marie Curie and the Royal Foundation. He currently leads on the events portfolio at WWTW and is the Co-Chair of the UK CIoF Special Interest Group for Events. Outside of work he is happiest when out hiking or on his motorbike!
Charlotte is the secretary of the group. In her day job she is Events Team Leader at Naomi House & Jacksplace, where she leads on creating a diverse portfolio of events. Having over eighteen years’ experience within the events industry, she has worked primarily on creating bespoke events for charities and businesses. Outside of work, she loves running and is attempting her first marathon this year!
Annabelle has 8 years of experience in the charity sector working in a variety of charities and roles, including BHF, NHS Charities Together and WWF, where she has worked in Supporter Care, Community Fundraising, Mass Participation, Third Party (Sports) and Bespoke Events. Annabelle is the co-comms lead in the committee and has just moved into a new role at the University of Warwick, leading on Philanthropy Events. Outside of work, Annabelle has a 3 year old chocolate labrador who she enjoys going walking with.
Lynsey is co-lead communications for the CIOF Fundraising Events Group. This involves booking in and creating emails for our virtual and in-person events as well as reporting on the emails. I also look after our Facebook Group and regularly add content and liaise with members on that. My day job is a Mass Participation Manager at NHS Charities Together. We are a relatively new team so setting up and shaping our events portfolio is very exciting. I previously worked at Diabetes UK as a third-party events manager and had the pleasure of stewarding thousands of runners and cyclists to achieve their goals.
Charlotte works as an Events Fundraising Manager at Samaritans and is the Co-Events Lead of the UK CIOF Special Interest Group for Events. Charlotte has previously worked in Events and Community Fundraising roles at charities including Alzheimer’s Society, Independent Age, and Terrence Higgins Trust. Outside of work, she loves going to concerts and enjoys trips to the West End to see the latest theatre shows.
Lucy is a charity event manager who has worked in the sector for almost 10 years. She has worked for a variety of national and international charities, covering bespoke, special and third party events. Lucy currently works at CoppaFeel! as their Challenge Events Manager, and is the Co-Events Lead for the Events Special Interest Group. Outside of work, she enjoys lots of yoga and dog walks in Richmond park with her Vizsla, Daisy.
Kate is an experienced charity event manager, having worked across various regional and national charities, covering a variety of bespoke, special, third party & virtual event roles. She currently leads the Bespoke Sporting Events Team and strategy at Prostate Cancer UK and co-leads on events within the UK CIoF Special Interest Group for Events. Outside of charity life, she loves walking her two dogs in the countryside, tattoos and all things Bon Jovi.
Tom has close to 20 years’ experience working on mass participation charity programmes, ranging from London Marathon Events to British Heart Foundation's London to Brighton Bike Ride. He is currently a Global Charity Consultant and contracted for England Athletics (National Governing Body). He's been a committee member of the CIOF Event Fundraising group for over 2 years now. This year, Tom aims to become a Six Star Finisher in the Abbotts World Marathon Majors.
