Director of Engagement and Income at East Anglian Air Ambulance, since August 2020. Stuart has previously worked in Community Fundraising, Events, Volunteering and Corporate teams for Kidney Research UK and Marie Curie. He is passionate about attracting new and diverse talent to the sector and has a keen interest in managing, motivating, and developing fundraising teams. He is excited about becoming more involved in and championing the work of the Charted Institute of Fundraising and the East Anglia committee.
Gill is passionate about fundraising and the professionalism of the sector. She has over 30 years’ experience across all areas of fundraising and managing fundraisers and departments/divisions. Since setting up her own consultancy she has worked across the sector in local, national and international organisations. She takes on interim management roles, specific projects including capital appeals, recruitment and restructuring as well as training and coaching. Besides being a speaker at national and international conferences, Gill writes widely and has contributed to a number of books. She has also sat on a number of grant-making boards and awards panels.
Rachel is Head of Audience and Communications at Firstsite gallery, Colchester. Rachel has worked in the not-for-profit sector for 6 years and has been part of the East Anglian committee for 5 years. Her first charity role was at Lepra where she found a real passion for developing messaging and campaigns to grow supporter loyalty and generate income. During lockdown the team at Firstsite produced two national digital campaigns 'Art is where the home is' and 'The Great Big Art Exhibition' to bring the benefits of art to everyone whilst at home. These projects won Art Fund Museum of the Year in 2021.
Head of Fundraising, Ruth Strauss Foundation (maternity cover). Carolyn has joined this young charity to help develop major and individual giving as well as caretake existing plans that revolve very much around cricket. Carolyn began her career in the corporate world and moved into fundraising via higher education (Cambridge University). Emily has over ten years’ experience in the third sector with a fundraising and project management background. She has worked for several national charities and currently works for Mind supporting the federation of Local Mind charities to start, grow and strengthen their fundraising income, products and processes.
Jenn is the Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity champion on the committee. Her first charity role was at The Salvation Army of Clearwater and Upper Pinellas County in 2013. She has since worked at Clare College – University of Cambridge and Red Balloon Learner Centres. Jenn currently splits her time between The Nehemiah Project, an abstinence-based residential Recovery Programme in London as Fundraising and Communications Officer and The Nystagmus Network, the UK’s only charity dedicated to supporting those with the eye condition nystagmus, as Development Coordinator.
Following a successful career in business development Jill joined St Helena Hospice as a corporate fundraiser in 2012 and has never looked back. She is currently Fundraising Manger at MS-UK, who support people affected by Multiple Sclerosis. Her passion is increasing income from new campaigns and developing her team to excel in their roles. She joined the committee in 2021 to be part of a group of brilliant regional charities working together to support fundraisers across East Anglia.
Rosie is Director of Income Generation and Communications at St Clare Hospice, which supports people in the West Essex and East Herts area who are approaching end of life. She has worked in fundraising for 10 years, in a variety of national and local charities in the health and education sectors. Rosie has experience in all areas of fundraising, retail and lottery management, and particularly specialises in effective people management and leadership.
Claire has worked in fundraising for more than 15 years’ with specific experience in grant fundraising and donor stewardship. She is currently Senior Programme Funding Manager at SOS Children’s Villages and raises funds for programmes that support children and families around the world. Claire is interested in increasing networking opportunities for fundraisers in the region so we can learn from and support each other. In her spare time, Claire runs around after her two young daughters.
