  • Erika Ishimaru

Erika has worked or volunteered in the charity sector for nearly 10 years, having previously worked in a communications role for a Scottish university.  When she found fundraising, she fell in love and never looked back. She is Senior Individual Giving Officer with Cats Protection.

She has a soft spot for amateur dramatics and spent 5 years on the committee for the Edinburgh Gilbert & Sullivan Society, leading marketing and PR, then serving as Vice-President.

  • Marrion Pirrie

Marion started her fundraising career as Fundraising Administrator with CRUK.  She later spent 13 years at Maggie's, supporting its Edinburgh and Lanarkshire Centres. During this time she was involved in Partnerships, Community Fundraising and bespoke events as well as managing the Centre board and major donors. Marion moved to Parkinson's UK Scotland, before her current role as Fundraising Manager at Age Scotland.

Marion holds the Certificate in Fundraising through Chartered Institute of Fundraising, and also has a TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Event Planning.

  • Marie Tiffoney

Marie trained as a chartered accountant before becoming a career fundraiser in 2017. She is Senior Development Officer at Glasgow Life.

She has served as a committee member of the Scottish Trusts, Statutory and Foundations Special Interest Group committee since 2021 and as Co-Chair since 2022.

  • Sharryn McKelvie

Sharryn is an experienced fundraiser of over 30 years with a background in organising large scale events, fundraising, volunteering and business development. Sharryn spent 17 years with the University of Edinburgh leading on key commercial accounts, team management and latterly as Head of Operations.  From there she has managed the volunteers in Scotland and Northern Ireland for The Compassionate Friends, supporting bereavement parents and families and continues to offer peer to peer support to fellow bereaved parents.  Sharryn moved on to Shelter Scotland where she led the Community Fundraising team in Scotland for over 2 years before redundancy.  Since then, Sharryn has been working on interim contracts and is currently enjoying working with two wonderful organisations, DSUK and SAMH.

Sharryn joined the Scottish Fundraising Conference committee in early 2024 and became chair in January 2025.

  • Darren Campbell-Pike

Darren has been a proud fundraiser for over 13 years and a proud volunteer for even longer. He works for Fundraising and Partnership Manager at Forces Children Scotland.

He used to be Chair of the Scottish Corporate Special Interest Group, led on training for the Scotland Professional Development committee and has spoken many times at Scottish Fundraising Conference. He has a passion for ensuring that fundraising is an accessible, safe and healthy career choice.

  • Eilish McDowell

From the get-go Eilish was drawn to the charity sector, volunteering with people with Down’s Syndrome and then pushing a tea trolley round St Columba’s Hospice while at university.

Fast forward several years, she worked for Winning Leishman Fundraising Consultants, and completed the Management Centre Arts Fundraising Course.

She has worked with many charities, including being Interim Director of Development at the Lyceum Theatre.

Eilish leads our work to find and support the next generation of career fundraisers in Scotland.

  • Flutura Shala

As a medical doctor, Flutura engaged in transformative international health programmes led by the European Commission.

Following a career in operational leadership with Scottish Refugee Council, Flutura moved internally to become Head of Funding Development.

A passionate human rights advocate, she believes fundraising plays a key role in linking those who want to make a change with those who can.

  • Annemarie Devlin

Annemarie is Director of Development for the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh, previously working as Head of Fundraising at Sense Scotland, and as a consultant for ACA.

She was an inaugural member of Scottish Fundraising Adjudication Panel and previously chaired the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Standards Panel.
