The latest on the new subscriptions law

Last week we wrote to Justin Madders MP, Minister for Employment Rights, Competition and Markets at the Department of Business and Trade and Lisa Nandy, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport asking them to urgently address members’ concerns about the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act (DMCCA).
This new law aims to make consumer protection more consistent across the subscriptions landscape and will apply to any auto-renewing subscription, including fundraising products such as charitable memberships.
