Catherine Cottrell, Director of Income Generation at Cats Protection, explains why this year, more than any, she does not want her team of fundraisers missing out on Fundraising Convention, and why in these unprecedented times we must utilise the opportunity to develop and strengthen our skills.
“This year, more than any, I really did not want my team of fundraisers missing out on the convention. It’s so important that we come out of this crisis with our fundraisers acting stronger and more efficiently than ever before. In these unprecedented times we must utilise the opportunity to develop and strengthen our skills. We really have been missing the sense of being part of a community and I hope the online convention will help foster that sense of strength in our fundraising network.
“With work schedules intense it’s going to be extremely beneficial for us all to access the resources in our own time and pace, which is the beauty of the flexibility now available. Being able to attend any of the sessions from the three days along with the open online window of 6 months at a much reduced cost means we have the ability of balancing learning with other priorities AND it feels like better value for money.”
