Emma Andrews, Thames Hospice
From her earliest days at Thames Hospice, Emma has shown great resilience and adaptability, coming through a difficult period with an under resourced team to the great success of the Sunflower walk last year, and the launch of the brand new Open Water swim event.
Emma has made a real difference to the Events team, and her passion for fundraising shines through in every aspect of her role. She is a real asset to the wider Fundraising team too, with her friendly, positive attitude and readiness to get stuck in to get things done. Her ability to build relationships has helped recruit volunteers and increase awareness of the need for fundraising across other teams within the Hospice, and they foresee a bright future for her in the fundraising sector.
Anna Houghton, Mary's Meals
Anna continually demonstrates creativity, innovation, and a relentless passion for their mission. Within the first year of joining Mary’s Meals, Anna increased income in the region of Liverpool by 40%. From turning famous landmarks in Liverpool blue, to being gifted a religious artefact by a priest which raised £35,000 at auction, to creating a Faith in Action resource which is used by 2000 young people, to appearing on BBC radio three times in the last 10 months, Anna has hit the ground running and has delivered results that seasoned fundraising professionals would be proud of. Anna has a can-do attitude and always finds a way to be ambitious yet supportive of her volunteers.
Vanessa Fairfax Woods, Go Beyond
Vanessa is new to fundraising and has in that time developed two major annual fundraising products, which gained national press attention, including securing the Telegraph Christmas Appeal = donations equating to 10% of entire charity annual target.
Vanessa has exceeded corporate fundraising target by 30%, increased social media engagement 60.2% and developed a corporate volunteering programme, aswell as:
- Working on brand collabs to increase revenue.
- Re-engaged dormant patrons.
- Re-engaged unhappy corporate partners.
- Increased tenure and considerable income of current corporate partners.
