The Social Purpose Award

New for this year, this award is for those companies that have truly placed social good at the heart of their organisation.

Companies should be able to demonstrate how embedding social good into their business has created a positive change for the whole organisation. They should also evidence how working with charities has delivered positive outcomes.

Judging will focus on the following areas:

  • Evidence of social purpose forming a core part of the business – how was this approached? How has this been embraced, both at a senior level and across the business?
  • Whether there is a clear sense of social good that the business is trying to create
  • A robust ability to show before and after and how the focus on social purpose delivered the change
  • A clear sense of the added value of working with a charity – for example:
    • expertise in the issues / theme of the social purpose
    • ability to provide informed but impartial advice
    • clear route to tackle a specific issue or meet a specific need
    • provision of independent audit or measurement to assess progress
  • Measurable business benefits that have been realised, such as:
    • sales uplift
    • customer loyalty
    • attracting and retaining staff
    • brand awareness
    • improved access to finance/funding/loans

Please note: each question box has a maximum count of 3000 characters, which is approximately 500 words.
