As we develop the Chartered Institute of Fundraising's next strategy, aware that we as an organisation need to change, we are inviting members to attend a member roundtable. The objective of these roundtables will be to listen to your views on all aspects of our current performance and engagement.
We can only build our next strategy if there is an understanding of where we are starting from, and we can only understand that position by listening. We know we haven’t always got things exactly right, but our members remain at the heart of the Chartered Institute.
We are hosting this series of roundtables as a listening exercise and as an opportunity for you to feedback on your experiences and views, and share with us what you want to see from your membership body.
These roundtables will be taking place throughout October and November so that our incoming Chief Executive Katie Docherty can meet you and be part of these conversations.
Each roundtable will last for two hours and take place over Zoom. We understand you may not be able to attend the full session. They will be hosted by the Chairs of both Regional and Nations’ Groups with attendance from trustees and supported by Chartered Institute staff.
These events are all about listening to you and what you want from your membership and involvement with the Chartered Institute. They’ll be hosted by a Chair of one of our volunteer committees and will pose the following questions:
We’ll incorporate smaller breakout groups during the session so that it will be easier for you to get involved.
Volunteers play a crucial role in the development and delivery of Chartered Institute activity. Separate arrangements are being put in place to capture feedback and suggestions from our registered volunteers. This will follow the same format as the member roundtable events and will free up places for other non-volunteering members to book onto one of these events.
Our membership teams will be contacting corporate and organisational members directly about your roundtable sessions.
For the Individual Member roundtable series:
This member-only roundtable series will allow healthy, structured dialogue with up to 40 individuals at each event. We ask you to observe the following guidance when booking:
Roundtables for Individual Members:
Please use this opportunity to share with us your views, and together we can shape the future of your Chartered Institute.
A summary report of feedback received will be made available to members.
